Massage Therapy

Massage therapy, also known as Swedish massage, is the most common form of massage therapy in Australia.

Massage therapists use long, smooth strokes, kneading and other movements focused on superficial layers of muscle using massage oil or lotion.

Massage therapy improves circulation by bringing oxygen and other nutrients to body tissues.

It relieves muscle tension and pain, increases flexibility and mobility, and helps clear lactic acid and other waste, which reduces pain and stiffness in muscles and joints.

Chiropractic and Massage therapy working together

Its very benefical to have the massage therapist loosen and relax the muscles, and to have the chiropractor realign the spine. Likewise, if your are receiving regular massage therapy treatments, releasing muscle tension and the increase in circulation and lymphatic flow are some of the benefits, but may not be addressing the issue if some of your bones are subluxed. Chiropractic assessment of spinal problems can identify more serious conditions. Massage therapy and chiropractic care are extremely complementary to each other and can enhance the healthcare benefits of both types of treatments
